Service Description
This exclusive 4-day trip is the jewel of our activity program. It combines the most authentic form of travel – on horseback or in an elegant horse-drawn carriage – with a gentle crossing of the Florensee. A journey for romantics, those seeking tranquility, and lovers of the vast western horizons of Vanguardia. Florensee by Horse & Ferry: All aboard! Leave the noise of the world behind. In the far west of Vanguardia, where the air smells of salt and heather, your adventure begins. From the historic port city of Benisants, we traverse the rolling hills of Bethania, cross the shimmering Florensee, and finally reach the proud coastal city of Portmaroe via the wild trails of Merania. The Itinerary: From the Hills to the Ocean Day 1: Departure from Benisants & across Bethania: After breakfast in the historic old town of Benisants, you will mount your horse or our comfortable carriages in Ouraval. The route leads through the heart of Bethany, past prehistoric stone circles and blooming broom fields. Overnight stay in Sants. Day 2: Crossing Lake Florens: On the north shore, we reach the Sants landing stage. Together with the horses, we board the "Eostre," a traditional, avant-garde sailing ferry (with a quiet electric auxiliary motor). The tranquility on the water and the view of the seabirds are unforgettable. Overnight stay in Portmarø. Day 3: Around Portmarø: The shellfish town welcomes us with seaweed and light coastal forests. We ride or drive along old smugglers' trails towards Fort Portmarø, where we arrive in the afternoon to the cheers of tourists on the harbor promenade. Accommodations 1st overnight stay in Benisants - Stadtvil 2nd overnight stay in Sants: A stately manor house, known for its excellent horse breeding and its down-to-earth yet refined country cuisine. 3rd and 4th nights at the Gasthof Maris, right on the shore, where you can drift off to sleep to the gentle lapping of the waves.
