Voting halls in the High Council
Vanguardia is a functioning democracy . The delegates to the High Council are representatives of their commanderies and are freely elected for five-year terms by simple majority vote. The fact that they take this very seriously is evident in the fact that no political parties are permitted in the High Council. Instead, shifting majorities form on different issues. This is reflected in their travels to various voting houses , where government bills are presented in a maximum of three sessions. These bills are then discussed at a roundtable of all experienced delegates and finally passed by a show of hands in the hall or via an app.

(Not literally.) | 1st Knight The inaugural session of the High Council took place one month later, on April 30, 2017. The Venerable Abbot Christian Saultrich was elected as the envoy of the ecclesiastical commandery of Templemere. As First Knight, he thus bears the Order's sword and is the de facto spokesperson of the High Council. At the inaugural session, the High Council elected deputies from the three largest voting blocs to serve alongside him. These are Gheilbert Houellebecq (Socialists), Dr. Fraucine Debeaufort (LT Unionists), and Pauline Lecquerin (Atlantic Citizens). |
Loud envoys of the High Council
Vanguardia's voting houses are very lively debating circles , used to align one's own political intentions with those of other like-minded individuals. The forum This website offers a platform for active participation. It helps each delegate to refine their speeches in the High Council so that a bill presented by the High Secretary, incorporating the amendments decided upon by the High Secretary, is returned to the High Secretary for revision and resubmission, or, if successful, can be signed by the High Secretary and enacted. At the end of the 1970s, there were 40 alliances of convenience in the High Council, most of them temporary. This democratic system eliminates the need for cumbersome coalition negotiations with other parties to form a government.

![]() | Atlantic citizens The oldest voting house – founded in 1560 – represents, alongside a democratic centrist line, the demands of the Atlantic-speaking population in Westerland. Their spokesperson, Annalena Querbocq, who has been wildly gesticulating since 2017, is a prominent figure. Her ambitions to become the first Grand Master of Vanguardia from 2022 onwards are no longer far-fetched after her highly successful initiatives. |
![]() | Loyalists and Unionists The ancient envoy Elders Thevaux from Rosfleur, estimated to be 113 years old, is His Excellency and Honorary Chairman of the Loyalists, and since his coup to unite with the Temple-loyal Unionists, they have been implementing their arch-conservative demands. They are the originators of the internationally ridiculed initiative calling for the destruction of Carthage. |
![]() | Greens and naturists The charming ambassador Jhanne Luc'hara from Mersault wields influence among the Greens and naturists, thanks to her voice and ample bosom. Following her election, she introduced the 60-90-60 law, which promotes open-minded tourism. She has also gained notoriety through her tentative acting career, appearing in crime films, always as a victim. |
![]() | Freedom Guardier The Freedom Party's Guardier envoys, led by Philippe Quengel, are the most pro-European ambassadors, distinguished by their regular flights to Brussels, their skillfully submitted expense claims, and their very clear opposition work. Their right-liberal positions have often been the impetus for innovations in technology, the labor market, and financial policy. |
![]() | Socialists The current Socialists under Genard Lesmerrien are proud of their trade union-influenced past, rooted in the country's shipyards. Meanwhile, their demands for income-based pricing of imported wine are on everyone's lips. |
